Full-Stack Developer (Angular + Node.js + AI)

Job Overview

Our client is an advertising technology platform that helps advertisers see and manage their media buying across channels in one place with real-time dashboards, cross-channel reporting, and an AI assistant that works alongside marketing teams. Building that assistant is a core part of their roadmap, and this role sits at the centre of it: you will build product features on top of large language models just as much as you build traditional web features. You will join a small, senior team and own your work end-to-end, from the user interface through the backend services to production.

Schedule

• Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Sydney Time, with 1 hour unpaid break (40 work hours per week)

Responsibilities:

• Build product features on top of LLMs: give the AI assistant access to tools and data it can act on, shape its prompts and behaviours, and make its answers reliable for real advertisers
• Measure and improve AI quality systematically — build and run evaluations, analyse real conversations, and turn failures into test cases
• Build user-facing features across dashboard and reporting products: interactive charts and tables, drag-and-drop layout editing, and multi-user real-time collaboration
• Design and ship well-structured backend APIs in TypeScript
• Integrate with third-party advertising platform APIs and keep their data flowing reliably through scheduled sync jobs
• Work across relational and document databases as the feature demands
• Write automated tests that genuinely gate merges, review PRs, and take turns investigating production issues

Requirements:

• 3–5 years of professional full-stack experience with TypeScript in production
• Hands-on experience building applications on top of large language models — integrating LLM APIs, designing tools or agents, prompt engineering, and evaluating output quality (not just calling a completion endpoint once)
• Solid front-end depth in a modern SPA framework (Angular preferred; strong React/Vue engineers who can ramp quickly are welcome)
• Solid back-end depth in Node.js, with an eye for clean API design
• Hands-on experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases, and the judgement to know which fits
• Working cloud knowledge on AWS (containers, serverless, storage) or a comparable cloud
• Comfortable in a CI/CD culture with genuine unit-testing habits, not test-after-if-time
• Clear written English for docs, PRs, and async communication

Qualifications:

• Ad-tech or marketing-analytics domain experience (campaigns, placements, metrics like CPM and ROAS)
• Experience designing evaluation or benchmark harnesses for LLM features
• Browser automation experience (e.g. Playwright)
