Full Stack Developer React, Java & Python

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer with strong hands-on expertise in React.js, Java/Spring Boot and Python to build and maintain scalable web applications and backend services. The role involves delivering end-to-end features across responsive user interfaces, REST APIs, microservices and data integrations.

Experience with event-driven architectures, PostgreSQL and Kafka is important.

Transfer

Agency or Financial Services domain experience is preferred, particularly exposure to transaction processing, settlement, reconciliation, ledger, fund administration or account-management workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain responsive web applications using React.js, JavaScript/TypeScript and modern React patterns.
• Build and maintain backend services and REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Use Python to develop supporting services, automation, data-processing utilities or integrations as required by the product.
• Integrate front-end components with backend APIs, authentication and data services; handle loading, validation and error states reliably.
• Design and maintain relational database schemas, SQL queries and data access layers, with PostgreSQL preferred and MongoDB where appropriate.
• Build and support event-driven integrations using Kafka, including reliable message handling, retries, idempotency and failure recovery.
• Apply secure coding practices, input validation, transaction management and appropriate access controls.
• Write and maintain unit, API and integration tests across the front-end and backend.
• Debug issues across UI, services, databases and messaging flows using logs, metrics and diagnostic tools.
• Collaborate with product, architecture, QA and DevOps teams; participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews and technical design discussions.
• Use Git-based workflows and contribute to CI/CD pipelines, deployment readiness and production support.
• Translate business requirements into maintainable technical solutions and contribute to improving engineering standards.

Mandatory Skills

• Experience: Minimum 5+ years of full-stack or software development experience, with hands-on delivery across front-end and backend systems.
• Front end: Strong hands-on experience with React.js, JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript; familiarity with Hooks, component design and state management.
• UI development: Experience building responsive, reusable interfaces; Material UI and SASS experience is expected, with Redux/Redux Toolkit and Ant Design useful in the existing stack.
• Java: Strong practical experience with Java and Spring Boot, including REST APIs, dependency injection, validation and transaction management.
• Python: Practical experience writing Python application code, scripts, utilities or services; ability to structure, test and maintain Python code.
• API and integration: Experience designing and consuming REST APIs, integrating services and handling authentication and error responses.
• Databases: Strong SQL and relational database fundamentals; PostgreSQL preferred. Familiarity with ORM/data-access patterns and NoSQL concepts.
• Architecture and messaging: Understanding of microservices and distributed systems; hands-on Kafka experience is strongly preferred.
• Testing: Experience writing unit and integration tests and debugging application issues across the stack.
• Engineering practices: Git, code reviews, build tooling and CI/CD fundamentals; strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Nice to Have Skills

• Transfer Agency or Financial Services experience, including fund administration, investor servicing, dealing, corporate actions, settlement, reconciliation, ledgers or financial reporting.
• Experience with financial transaction integrity, audit trails, approval workflows, business rules and date/amount precision.
• Exposure to Camunda/Zeebe, BPMN workflows, Kafka event processing, transactional outbox patterns or workflow orchestration.
• Experience with MongoDB, Redis, Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions or cloud platforms such as AWS/Azure.
• Experience with Python web frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask or Django.
• Experience with automated UI testing, API testing, observability tools or performance optimization.
