We are currently seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Java & Python Developer to lead the modernization of a critical enterprise application for our healthcare client in the US.

Location: Remotely from Hyderabad or Bangalore

Immediate joiners only - must be able to start within 2 weeks.

Hours: 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM IST.

Position Summary

This role will be responsible for reengineering an existing Java-based application with an Oracle database into a modern, scalable Python-based solution utilizing Google BigQuery, hosted on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will possess strong full-stack development expertise, cloud-native architecture experience, and a proven track record of application migration and modernization initiatives.

Key Deliverables

• Successful migration of the Java/Oracle application to a Python-based cloud-native platform.
• Conversion and optimization of database workloads from Oracle to BigQuery.
• Deployment of the modernized solution on Google Cloud Platform.
• Comprehensive testing, performance validation, and documentation.
• Scalable, maintainable, and secure application architecture aligned with enterprise standards

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze, document, and understand the architecture, business logic, integrations, and data flows of the existing Java/Oracle application.
• Design and develop a modern, scalable Python-based application that replicates and enhances existing functionality while adhering to current engineering standards.
• Convert and optimize Oracle database schemas, stored procedures, queries, and data processing logic for Google BigQuery.
• Design and develop front-end and back-end components using modern development frameworks and best practices.
• Architect and implement cloud-native solutions leveraging Google Cloud Platform services.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices, and integration components to support internal and external system interactions.
• Plan and execute data migration activities, including data transformation, validation, reconciliation, and performance optimization.
• Implement security, monitoring, logging, and compliance controls in alignment with enterprise standards.
• Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and cloud deployment processes.
• Perform code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, performance testing, and production support activities.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, architects, database administrators, and cross-functional development teams throughout the migration lifecycle.
• Create comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design specifications, deployment procedures, and operational runbooks.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in full-stack application development.
• Strong proficiency in Java and Python programming languages.
• Experience modernizing or migrating legacy applications to cloud-based architectures.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Database, including SQL tuning, schema design, and PL/SQL development.
• Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.
• Experience with Google BigQuery for data modeling, data warehousing, and query optimization.
• Experience developing REST APIs and microservices architectures.
• Proficiency with front-end technologies such as Angular, React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
