Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain full-stack features across our Node.js/TypeScript backend and React/Next.js frontend
- Build and consume REST/GraphQL APIs using NestJS
- Work with relational and analytical databases (PostgreSQL, ClickHouse) and design efficient schemas
- Integrate third-party APIs and webhooks (payment gateways, SaaS platforms, cloud services)
- Write clean, tested, maintainable code and participate in code reviews
- Collaborate directly with founders/leads on architecture decisions we lock designs upfront before writing code
- Deploy and debug in cloud environments (AWS, Cloudflare)
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript/TypeScript
- Backend: Node.js, NestJS or Express
- Frontend: React and/or Next.js (Vue.js is a plus)
- Solid understanding of REST API design and database fundamentals (SQL)
- Git/version control workflow experience
- Ability to work independently and communicate clearly on technical tradeoffs
AI-Native Development
We build with AI tools as a core part of our workflow, not an afterthought. You'll be expected to work fluently with:
- Claude Code for agentic coding, refactors, and multi-file changes
- Cursor / AI-assisted IDEs for day-to-day development
- Prompt-driven workflows for scaffolding, debugging, and code review
Prior experience using AI coding tools in a real production workflow (not just autocomplete) is a strong plus. Comfort locking architecture upfront and using AI to accelerate execution, rather than replace design thinking, is what we're looking for.
Good to Have
- Experience with AWS or Cloudflare Workers
- Exposure to Supabase, Redis/BullMQ, or ClickHouse
- Hands-on use of Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot in real projects
- Prior experience in fintech, payments, or e-commerce platforms
- SwiftUI/mobile experience
