Gammastack - MEAN Stack Developer - Full Stack Technologies

About the Role :

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior MERN Stack Developer who is passionate about building scalable web applications while leading a team of developers. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in the MERN stack, excellent communication skills, and proven experience mentoring teams, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, and driving projects from concept to deployment.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance web applications using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js).
• Lead and mentor a team of developers by providing technical guidance, conducting code reviews, and ensuring adherence to coding standards.
• Break down project requirements into technical tasks and assign work effectively within the team.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, UI/UX Designers, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical decision-making.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
• Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code following industry best practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement effective solutions.
• Drive Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and estimations.
• Ensure project timelines are met while maintaining high development standards.
• Communicate project status, technical challenges, and solutions clearly with stakeholders.

Required Skills :

• 5 years of experience in Full Stack Development.

Strong expertise in

• React.js
• Node.js
• Express.js
• MongoDB
• JavaScript (ES6 ) / TypeScript
• Experience with REST APIs and third-party integrations.
• Good understanding of authentication mechanisms (JWT, OAuth).
• Experience with Git, GitHub/GitLab, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of AWS/GCP or other cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with Docker and containerized deployments.
• Strong understanding of software design principles and scalable architecture.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Leadership & Communication :

• Proven experience leading a development team of 4 - 10 engineers.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to mentor junior developers and conduct technical knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Experience in code reviews, performance feedback, and technical interviews.
• Ability to coordinate across multiple teams and manage project priorities.
• Strong ownership mindset with excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
