GCP DevOps Engineer - Cloud Infrastructure

Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced GCP DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, automation, containerization, and deployment on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience designing and managing scalable, secure, and highly available cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure on GCP.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application build, testing, and deployment.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and application deployments.
• Manage and optimize GCP services to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes (GKE).
• Configure monitoring, logging, alerting, and performance management for cloud environments.
• Implement security best practices, IAM policies, access controls, and secrets management.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and application-related issues.
• Automate repetitive operational processes using scripting and DevOps tools.
• Work closely with development, QA, security, and architecture teams to improve software delivery processes.
• Support production deployments, releases, and incident management activities.
• Implement backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability strategies where required.
• Maintain technical documentation for infrastructure, deployment processes, and operational procedures.

Required Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience with GCP services such as Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, VPC, IAM, Cloud Load Balancing, Cloud Monitoring, and Cloud Logging.
• Strong experience in CI/CD pipeline development and automation.
• Hands-on experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or Cloud Build.
• Strong knowledge of Terraform / Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Good understanding of Linux/Unix systems and shell scripting.
• Experience with Git and version control systems.
• Strong understanding of networking, security, and cloud architecture.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
