HealthifyMe - Full Stack Engineer - Python/TypeScript/React.js

About the Role :

At Healthify, we're building technology that helps millions of people manage their health. Our engineering challenges span large-scale consumer applications, complex backend systems, and increasingly AI-powered products.

We're looking for a strong Full Stack Engineer who is equally comfortable building sophisticated frontend experiences and designing scalable backend systems.

What You'll Work On :

Frontend Engineering &

• Product Development :
• Build and maintain production web applications using React, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Work with modern React frameworks such as Next.js and React Router.
• Understand and apply Client-Side Rendering (CSR), Server-Side Rendering (SSR), and other rendering strategies.
• Independently translate Figma designs into responsive, polished, and intuitive product experiences.
• Optimize frontend performance, rendering, network requests, and user experience.

Backend Engineering &

• System Design :
• Design, build, and maintain backend services using Python, Django, or FastAPI.
• Develop APIs, background jobs, integrations, and services that support production applications.
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases, including schema design, indexing, and query optimization.
• Build systems with scalability, reliability, latency, and operational efficiency in mind.

Performance, Scalability &

• Engineering Fundamentals :
• Understand how applications behave end to end, from the browser and network layer to databases.
• Identify and solve performance bottlenecks involving network latency, database queries, and caching.
• Make informed technical decisions based on trade-offs involving performance, maintainability, and cost.

AI-Powered Engineering &

• Applications :
• Work on products that integrate LLMs, AI agents, and intelligent workflows.
• Understand the fundamentals of AI application architecture, including model APIs, tool calling, and context management.
• Use AI-assisted development tools effectively to accelerate implementation, testing, and debugging.

What We're Looking For :

• Strong, hands-on experience across both frontend and backend development.
• Frontend : Strong command of JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and modern frontend architecture.
• Product development : Ability to independently take Figma designs and build complete, production-ready user experiences.
• Backend : Hands-on experience building production services using Python with Django or FastAPI.
• Databases : Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Core engineering fundamentals : Strong understanding of data structures, networking, HTTP, caching, and concurrency.
• Production experience : Experience building, deploying, maintaining, and scaling real applications.
• Independent ownership : Ability to understand requirements, make architectural decisions, and deliver features end to end.
• Engineering judgment : Ability to reason through unfamiliar problems and understand trade-offs.
