Role Description The Intern PHP role at PPStack is a full-time remote position focused on supporting the development and maintenance of web applications and learning platforms. The intern will assist in writing clean, efficient PHP code, implementing new features, fixing bugs, and optimizing application performance under the guidance of senior developers.

Daily tasks include collaborating with the technical team, working with databases, testing and debugging code, and documenting development work. The intern will also participate in code reviews, learn best practices in secure and scalable web development, and contribute to improving user experience across PPStack’s digital products. This role offers hands-on exposure to EdTech solutions and an opportunity to build practical skills in a real-world environment.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess foundational skills in PHP programming, including basic knowledge of object-oriented PHP and familiarity with common frameworks (e.g., Laravel, CodeIgniter) is a plus.
• Candidates should possess web development skills such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design principles.
• Candidates should possess database-related skills, including basic understanding of MySQL or other relational databases, and ability to write simple queries.
• Candidates should possess skills in debugging, problem-solving, and using version control tools (e.g., Git) for collaborative development.
• Candidates should possess strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage time effectively.
• Enrollment in or completion of a degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience) is beneficial.
• Familiarity with APIs, RESTful services, and basic security best practices in web development is an advantage.
• Interest in EdTech, AI, and digital learning solutions, along with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.
