Job Description :
We are seeking a skilled Java Backend Developer with strong expertise in building scalable backend systems and event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka.
The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining microservices-based applications, building robust APIs, and enabling real-time data streaming in distributed environments.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices-based applications.
- Implement event-driven architecture using Apache Kafka (producers, consumers, streaming).
- Ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability of backend systems.
- Integrate backend services with databases and external systems.
- Collaborate with architects, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver quality solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical documentation.
- Troubleshoot production issues and optimize system performance.
- Follow Agile/Scrum methodologies and engineering best practices.
Skills & Experience :
- Strong experience in Java 8/11/17
- Expertise in Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security
- Strong knowledge of Microservices architecture
- Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka (mandatory)
- Experience in REST API design and development
- Strong knowledge of Hibernate/JPA
- Good understanding of SQL databases (Oracle / MySQL / PostgreSQL / SQL Server)
- Experience with database design, indexing, and performance tuning
- Exposure to AWS / Azure / GCP
- Basic knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins / GitHub Actions / GitLab CI)
- Experience with Git, JIRA, SonarQube
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Preferred: Kafka Streams, Redis, Elasticsearch, NoSQL databases, distributed systems, monitoring tools (Prometheus/Grafana/ELK), and unit testing frameworks (JUnit/Mockito)
