Java Developer in Test ( Selenium)

SUMMARY The QE/Snr QE - functional automation will be part of the Global QA team that is working on innovative and cutting edge technologies. The primary responsibility of this role is to design, develop, and maintain test scripts and enhance /update automation frameworks (if required develop one in coordination with the client team). This role requires technical skills to code in java and the ability to create, document and execute test strategies and test plans.

Client uses the agile methodology, which presents a fast paced and dynamic environment for rapid growth.

This is an urgent requirement. They are fine even if the candidate does not know Selenium/Appium but he needs to be strong on Java & logical reasoning.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Work with the team leads to gather test requirements
• Work with the Client SMEs/QAs to gather test requirements if placed at client location ( onsite/offshore IDC)
• Hands on script development using Java and Selenium/Appium
• Perform peer reviews for the scripts developed
• Ensure creation of CI jobs for the scripts developed
• Execution of the automated and Manual test during sprint and release cycles
• Conduct RCA on the failures reported and publish it to the team leads
• Ensure results are reported on to the Dashboard
• Maintain and/or update documentation that communicates the standards and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS

• BS in Software Engineering, Computer Science, IS, or other related field
• 4 – 7 years of experience in development and/or QA automation
• Ability to work in onshore-offshore model
• Agile methodology experience is required
• Strong technical competency and experience with Core Java, Selenium and Appium.
• Should have exposure in using CI tools
• Experience with TestNG is must
• Absolute must in ability convey and document test cases and execute them
• Experience with Tools like Jira, SharePoint, Wiki etc
• Excellent and clear communication skills, multi-tasking capabilities
• Ability to quickly adapt new tools/technologies needed in reporting team
