Role Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Software Engineer to join our high-impact engineering team in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, or Pune. In this role, you will architect and build scalable, high-performance data processing pipelines and backend services that form the backbone of our enterprise platforms. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional product managers, data scientists, and infrastructure teams to translate complex business requirements into robust technical solutions.
Your work will directly influence the efficiency of our data ecosystem, ensuring seamless performance for millions of users and driving critical business outcomes through reliable, real-time data streaming and processing capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement high-throughput backend services using Java and Spring Boot to ensure system reliability and scalability for our global client base.
- Develop and optimize complex data processing jobs using Apache Spark to handle large-scale datasets, significantly reducing latency for downstream analytics.
- Architect event-driven systems leveraging Kafka to facilitate seamless communication between microservices and ensure data consistency across distributed environments.
- Mentor junior engineers through rigorous code reviews and architectural discussions to elevate the overall technical standards of the development team.
- Partner with stakeholders to troubleshoot production bottlenecks and implement proactive performance tuning, ensuring optimal uptime and service quality.
Required Skillset:
- Proven expertise in building enterprise-grade applications using Java and the Spring ecosystem, with a deep understanding of multi-threading and memory management.
- Demonstrated ability to design and maintain distributed data pipelines using Apache Spark, ensuring efficient resource utilization and fault tolerance.
- Strong proficiency in implementing real-time messaging patterns with Kafka, including consumer/producer configuration and stream processing.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders and cross-functional partners.
- A Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or a related field, complemented by 8 - 10 years of hands-on experience in software development.
