Java Developer - Spring Boot/Microservices Architecture

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled Java Backend Developer with strong experience (7 years) in building scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems using Java, Spring Boot, microservices, Kafka, and AWS. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, test, deploy, and support enterprise-grade solutions.

Core Technical Skills :

Programming Languages &

• Frameworks :
• Java 17 (preferred); strong experience in Java 8
• Spring Boot 3.x, Spring Framework, Spring Data JPA
• Spring Security for authentication & authorization
• RESTful API design and development
• Strong understanding of Core Java concepts, multithreading, collections, generics, functional programming (Lambdas/Streams)

Microservices &

• Integration :
• Hands-on experience in designing and developing microservices architectures
• Strong understanding of service discovery, API gateways, inter-service communication
• Ability to write and maintain integration tests using JUnit
• Knowledge of Kafka : Topics, partitions, producers/consumers, consumer groups, replica topics, event-driven design

Test Automation Skills :

• Writing unit tests using JUnit
• API Automation using Spring Boot Test

CI/CD, DevOps &

• Cloud :
• Hands-on experience with AWS Services : CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CloudWatch, ECS (Fargate), Secret Manager, S3, RDS (PostgreSQL)
• CI/CD Tools : Git / GitHub, Jenkins, CodePipeline / GitHub Actions
• Containerization using Docker

Development &

• Code Quality Tools :
• IDEs : IntelliJ IDEA, VS Code

Database Skills :

• Strong proficiency with PostgreSQL or Dynamo DB

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, and maintain backend microservices using Java &
• Spring Boot

• Write unit, integration, and automated tests
• Participate in architecture reviews and code reviews
• Investigate production issues using AWS CloudWatch & logging frameworks
• Collaborate with product, QA, and DevOps teams across full SDLC
• Ensure code quality using static analysis and coverage tools
• Optimize application performance and database queries

Required Experience :

• 7 - 12 years of hands-on backend development
• Strong production experience in Java 8 and Spring Boot
• Deep understanding of microservices, REST APIs, and Kafka
• Experience deploying applications in AWS Cloud
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing
