Java Developer

Role and Responsibilities:

• Build new cloud applications and assume full lifecycle responsibility for code implementation, testing, user acceptance, and deployment.
• Develop pure cloud and hybrid cloud solutions, including application frameworks for manipulating form data with complex dependencies.
• Write test-driven, maintainable code following industry standards and web development best practices.
• Implement new features and maintain existing features of the production pipeline.
• Collaborate with architects, project managers, and engineers to ensure accurate timelines and deliverables.
• Work with fellow engineers to find long-term solutions and creative quick fixes to problems.
• Develop and maintain microservices deployed on Amazon AWS cloud using Docker.
• Develop Java code using Spring frameworks and expose REST APIs.
• Document code and create high-level interaction diagrams for clear understanding.
• Participate in on-call support rotation and handle tier-3 support issues.
• Work within a polyglot codebase and source control branching strategies.
• Work in a high-velocity, agile team environment.

Candidate Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience as a professional software developer.
• Experience with the AWS Cloud platform.
• Good expertise in Reactjs, JEST, OO JavaScript as Primary Skillset.
• Proven experience with test-driven development in Java (Java 8, Spring boot, Spring Cloud).
• Experience with Code Quality tools like SonarQube, Veracode, etc.
• Comfortable with Unix/Linux shell command line.
• Experience developing Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with container technologies (Docker).
• Passion for new technology and innovation.

Educational Background:An undergraduate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required, with a graduate degree preferred.

• Experience with the entire product lifecycle.
• Experience with Atlassian suite: Jira, Confluence, etc.
• Expert-level experience with Java 8, Spring boot, Spring Cloud.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
