Job Title: Java DevOps Engineer
Role OverviewWe are seeking a Java DevOps Engineer to design, build, and optimize our automated software delivery pipelines. In this role, you will be responsible for dockerizing Java applications (such as Spring Boot microservices) and automating our CI/CD workflows using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI. You will manage container orchestration on platforms like Kubernetes or OpenShift, maintain automated build tools like Maven or Gradle, and script automation tasks using Bash or Python.
The ideal candidate bridges the gap between our core Java development and IT operations to guarantee fast, highly reliable, and zero-downtime deployments.
Required Skills
- 10+ years of experience in Java development and DevOps engineering.
- Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
- Hands-on expertise in Docker and containerization.
- Experience with Kubernetes and/or OpenShift.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
- Experience with Maven and Gradle.
- Proficiency in Bash and/or Python scripting.
- Experience with Git and version control workflows.
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Splunk.
- Experience working with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- DevOps, Kubernetes, Docker, or Cloud certifications are an added advantage.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible is a plus.
