Java Engineer / Java Developer (Enterprise Java + Angular)

This position is part of a strategic modernization initiative involving the migration of critical legacy mainframe applications to a modern distributed Java platform hosted on AWS.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Enterprise Java, Spring Boot, multithreading, cloud technologies, and modern microservices architecture. Candidates with Angular 17+, Kafka, Kubernetes, and AWS experience will be highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade Java applications.
• Participate in the modernization of legacy systems into distributed cloud-native applications.
• Build scalable microservices using Spring Boot and related Spring technologies.
• Develop secure, resilient, and high-performance backend services.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Partner with Infrastructure and DevOps teams for deployment and production support.
• Optimize application performance and troubleshoot production issues.
• Implement event-driven architectures using Kafka or similar messaging platforms.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Create unit tests and ensure code quality through best engineering practices.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and deliver within two-week sprint cycles.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise security, risk, and governance standards.
