Java Microservices Engineer - Agentic AI Integration

About the role:

Connect enterprise applications with agentic AI solutions: work with AI engineers to expose enterprise capabilities through secure APIs, build orchestration layers, and integrate AI agents with backend systems, databases and business services.

Key responsibilities:

• Understand existing Java enterprise applications, microservices, APIs and business workflows
• Develop and enhance Java Spring Boot microservices
• Expose enterprise capabilities through secure APIs for AI agents
• Integrate agentic AI solutions with backend applications, databases and business services
• Collaborate with AI engineers to build API orchestration layers and tool interfaces
• Develop integrations using Kafka and event-driven architecture patterns
• Contribute to system design and architecture discussions
• Support the scalability, security, reliability and performance of AI-enabled systems

Required qualifications:

• 3 - 7 years of overall professional experience, including 1 - 3 years of directly relevant hands-on experience
• Strong Java and Spring Boot development skills with experience in microservices architecture
• Experience designing REST APIs, orchestration layers and enterprise integration patterns
• Working knowledge of Kafka and event-driven architectures
• Experience with PostgreSQL and/or Oracle
• Proficiency with Git and Docker
• Understanding of agentic AI, LLMs and AI workflows

Preferred qualifications:

• Exposure to LangGraph or LangChain
• Basic knowledge of Python and FastAPI
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Experience with AWS, Google Cloud or Azure
• Experience integrating enterprise applications with AI platforms

Interview process:

One interview round with Aptlogica, followed by one or two client interview rounds.
