Role Overview :
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Java Scala Developer to join our high-performance engineering team in Mumbai. In this role, you will architect and build scalable, distributed systems that form the backbone of our core product offerings. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional product managers, data scientists, and infrastructure engineers to translate complex business requirements into robust, high-throughput technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities :
- Design and implement high-performance backend services using Java and Scala to ensure the platform handles massive data volumes with minimal latency.
- Lead the end-to-end development lifecycle, from initial architectural planning to deployment, ensuring that all deliverables meet rigorous quality and security standards.
- Mentor junior engineering talent by conducting thorough code reviews and fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Optimize existing data pipelines and microservices to improve system efficiency, directly contributing to reduced operational costs and enhanced service availability.
- Partner with stakeholders across the organization to identify technical bottlenecks and implement innovative solutions that support long-term business scalability.
Required Skillset :
- Demonstrated expertise in building complex, distributed applications using Java and Scala, with a deep understanding of functional programming paradigms and JVM internals.
- Proven ability to design scalable system architectures that support high-concurrency environments and large-scale data processing.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and influence cross-functional project outcomes.
- Strong analytical mindset, capable of diagnosing and resolving critical production issues in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment in Mumbai, demonstrating self-motivation and the capacity to collaborate effectively within a distributed team structure.
- A Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or a related field, complemented by 8 to 14 years of hands-on software engineering experience.
