Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Java Software Engineer.

The Java Software

Engineer will design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications and microservices that support Celestibia's cloud and managed services offerings. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean and efficient code, implementing and integrating Spring Framework components, participating in code reviews, and troubleshooting production issues. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams such as DevOps, cloud architects, and security specialists to build scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions. The engineer will also contribute to technical documentation, follow best practices in software development, and continuously improve system reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• Strong Software Development and Programming skills, with a focus on object-oriented design and clean coding practices.
• Fresher with 0-1 years of experience
• Proficiency in Java and related ecosystems, including experience building and maintaining enterprise-grade applications.
• Hands-on experience with Microservices architecture, including designing, deploying, and monitoring distributed services.
• Practical knowledge of Spring Framework (e.g., Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data) for building scalable backend services.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is beneficial.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs, relational and/or NoSQL databases, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting, collaborate effectively in distributed teams, and communicate clearly in English.
• Experience with security best practices, performance optimization, and monitoring tools is an advantage.
