Lead Backend Engineer - Java

Responsibilities :

• Design and build scalable backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, REST APIs, and Microservices.
• Drive HLD, LLD, system design, and architecture for enterprise applications.
• Lead the adoption of Agentic SDLC by integrating AI-assisted development across design, coding, code review, testing, and production support.
• Build AI-enabled developer workflows using tools like Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Codex, Devin, Aider, Cline, or Windsurf.
• Develop Prompt Engineering, Context Engineering, MCP (Model Context Protocol) integrations, and AI automation pipelines.
• Define engineering standards for AI-generated code, CI/CD, testing, code quality, and performance.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with Product, Platform, and Infrastructure teams to deliver scalable backend systems.

Requirements :

• 6+ years of backend engineering experience with 2+ years in a Lead/Tech Lead role.
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, Microservices, REST APIs, and Distributed Systems.
• Hands-on experience with HLD, LLD, System Design, and scalable production systems.
• Strong knowledge of Git, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Mandatory recent experience (within the last 12 months) with Agentic SDLC or AI-assisted software development.
• Hands-on experience with Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot (Agent Mode/Workspace), Codex, Devin, Aider, Cline, Windsurf, or similar AI coding tools.
• Experience applying AI across multiple SDLC stages, including design, code generation, code review, testing, debugging, and documentation.
• Good understanding of LLMs, Prompt Engineering, Context Engineering, MCP, AI code quality, and AI-assisted development workflows.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills.
