Job Profile : Java Backend Engineer.

Location : Mumbai.

Employment Type : Full-time.

Preferred experience : 7+ years.

The Role :

We are looking for a Java Backend Engineer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, MongoDB, and REST API development.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise backend applications, implementing scalable microservices, and building high-performance data solutions. Experience with containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes is an added advantage.

Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade backend applications using Java and Spring Boot following object-oriented programming principles and industry best practices.
• Design scalable application architecture and implement robust, maintainable, and high-performance backend solutions.
• Develop batch and real-time processing applications using Spring Boot frameworks to support enterprise data processing requirements.
• Build, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs for seamless integration with internal and external systems.
• Design efficient MongoDB schemas, collections, and data models based on application requirements and business use cases.
• Develop and optimize MongoDB Aggregation Pipelines, indexing strategies, and complex queries to improve database performance.
• Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting to ensure high availability and scalability.
• Develop scalable microservices using Spring Boot and integrate them with enterprise applications.
• Analyze application performance bottlenecks and perform debugging, root cause analysis, and production support activities.
• Participate in architecture discussions, technical design reviews, code reviews, and implementation of best development practices.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, solution architects, QA teams, and DevOps teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Follow Agile/Scrum methodologies and contribute to sprint planning, estimation, development, testing, deployment, and support activities.

Must Have Qualifications :

• Minimum 7+ years of experience in Java application development, including application design, implementation, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Strong expertise in Core Java, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), multithreading, collections, exception handling, concurrency, and Java design patterns.
• Minimum 7+ years of hands-on experience in Spring Boot development.
• Experience developing enterprise applications using Spring Boot, including batch processing and real-time processing frameworks.
• Minimum 7+ years of experience working with MongoDB.
• Strong expertise in MongoDB Schema Design, Data Modeling, Aggregation Pipelines, CRUD Operations, Indexing Strategies, Query Optimization, and Performance Tuning.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API development, integration, testing, security, and API lifecycle management.
• Experience designing and developing scalable microservices using Spring Boot.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience developing and integrating REST APIs.
• Experience with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience troubleshooting application and database performance issues in production environments.
• Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), code quality standards, unit testing, and version control systems.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
