Middleware Development Manager - Java

About the Role :

Leading financial services platform is looking for a Middleware Development Manager to own enterprise middleware architecture, integration delivery, and platform stability. The role will lead API gateways, messaging, microservices communication, and third-party fintech integrations.

Key Responsibilities :

• Own the middleware architecture roadmap covering APIs, messaging, event streaming, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Lead integration delivery across lending, payments, CRM, analytics, and external financial services platforms.
• Govern API lifecycle, versioning, security, access controls, and integration standards.
• Drive platform performance, availability, disaster recovery, and resolution of critical production issues.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, Risk, Credit, and Operations teams on integration architecture and delivery.
• Manage middleware technology vendors and ensure compliance with security and governance requirements.

Tech Stack &

Requirements :

• 8 - 14 years of experience in software engineering, middleware, integration platforms, or enterprise architecture.
• Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST, microservices, and Apache Kafka or equivalent messaging platforms.
• Experience designing and operating production-grade, high-availability middleware environments.
• Relevant experience in fintech, lending, payments, banking, or regulated financial services.
• Exposure to cloud-native/containerised environments such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, or Docker.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to lead complex integration decisions.
