Role Description The NodeJS Intern will support the development and maintenance of backend services and APIs that power PPStack’s education and career platforms. Day-to-day tasks include implementing NodeJS modules, writing clean and testable code, integrating third-party services, troubleshooting bugs, and assisting in performance optimization and security best practices.

The intern will collaborate with senior engineers, product teams, and designers to translate requirements into technical solutions, participate in code reviews, and contribute to documentation. This is a full-time remote role, offering hands-on experience in modern backend development within a fast-paced EdTech environment.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess foundational skills in NodeJS, JavaScript, and RESTful API development.
• Candidates should possess skills in working with databases (SQL or NoSQL), basic data modeling, and query optimization.
• Candidates should possess skills in using version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborating via platforms like GitHub or GitLab.
• Candidates should possess skills in debugging, testing (unit or integration tests), and following secure coding practices.
• Candidates should possess skills in understanding web technologies (HTTP, JSON, basic frontend integration) and working in agile or iterative development environments.
• Relevant qualifications include current enrollment or recent graduation in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, strong problem-solving abilities, and effective written and verbal communication.
• Additional beneficial skills include familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure), exposure to microservices or containerization, and a demonstrated interest in EdTech or AI-driven solutions.
