Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Open Source Developer with 5 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications using open-source technologies. The ideal candidate should possess strong backend expertise in Python, database administration skills, and modern frontend development experience. Exposure to AI-based projects and working directly with US clients will be an added advantage.

Experience:

• 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Proven experience in developing and maintaining enterprise-grade web applications.

Required Technical Skills:

Backend:

• Strong proficiency in Python server-side development.
• Hands-on experience with Python web frameworks (CherryPy preferred).
• Experience building RESTful APIs using FastAPI.
• Strong understanding of application architecture, performance optimization, and security best practices.

Database:

• Strong experience with PostgreSQL v14.
• Database administration (DBA) skills including:
• Database design and optimization
• Query tuning
• Performance monitoring
• Backup & recovery
• Indexing and maintenance

Frontend:

• Strong experience with ReactJS.
• Proficiency in TypeScript.
• Experience with Material UI (MUI).
• Strong knowledge of Pure JavaScript (ES6 ), HTML5, and CSS3.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using open-source technologies.
• Build high-performance backend services using Python and FastAPI.
• Develop responsive and interactive frontend applications using ReactJS, TypeScript, and MUI.
• Design and optimize PostgreSQL databases and perform DBA activities.
• Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code following industry best practices.
• Troubleshoot application and database performance issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, DevOps, and Product Management.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to architecture and technical design discussions.
• Ensure application security, scalability, and reliability.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs and microservices architecture.
• Experience with Git and version control workflows.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have:

• Experience working on AI/ML-based projects or integrating AI capabilities into applications.
• Experience handling or directly interacting with US clients.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Contributions to open-source projects are a plus.
