PHP Developer

Join Data Eminence as a remote PHP Developer and contribute to developing, maintaining, and optimizing dynamic web applications and backend services. You will work on server-side programming, database integration, APIs, authentication, and application functionality using PHP and modern development frameworks.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of PHP, web development fundamentals, and database management. This role provides hands-on experience with backend development, MVC architecture, REST APIs, database operations, testing, and deployment.

At Data Eminence, we develop reliable and scalable digital solutions using modern web technologies. As a PHP Developer, you will collaborate with frontend developers, designers, and product teams to build and maintain web applications that meet business requirements.

Your responsibilities will include

• Develop and maintain backend applications using PHP.
• Build web applications using Laravel or similar PHP frameworks.
• Implement server-side logic and application functionality.
• Design and integrate RESTful APIs.
• Work with MySQL, MariaDB, or other relational databases.
• Write efficient SQL queries and manage database operations.
• Implement authentication, authorization, and session management.
• Develop CRUD operations, forms, and validation workflows.
• Integrate third-party APIs and external services.
• Follow MVC architecture and object-oriented programming principles.
• Debug application errors and troubleshoot backend issues.
• Optimize application performance and database queries.
• Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code.
• Assist with application testing and bug fixing.
• Use Git and GitHub for version control.
• Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate backend functionality.
• Assist with application deployment and hosting configuration.
• Maintain documentation for application features and APIs.
• Follow application security best practices.
• Stay updated with modern PHP technologies and development tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in PHP development or relevant projects.
• Strong understanding of PHP programming fundamentals.
• Familiarity with Laravel or another PHP framework.
• Understanding of object-oriented programming and MVC architecture.
• Basic knowledge of MySQL or MariaDB.
• Understanding of REST APIs, HTTP methods, and JSON.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Basic understanding of authentication and application security.
• Familiarity with Git and GitHub.
• Knowledge of Composer and dependency management.
• Basic understanding of debugging and testing.
• Familiarity with Linux or cloud deployment is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
