Platform Software Engineer (Java & Cloud/DevOps)
OracleJob description
About the Team The Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) team builds and operates large-scale cloud services in a distributed, multi-tenant environment. We are looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer to build high-performance API services that secure and protect API traffic at OCI.
Our collaborative team owns backend development, quality assurance, DevOps, and production operations. We focus on secure, scalable, and highly available services, and actively use AI development tools such as Codex and Claude.
The team provides 24/7 on-call coverage through a rotation. Each developer typically participates once every 4–6 weeks, covering 12 hours per day for seven days during their assigned week. Critical pages require immediate attention; lower-severity tickets follow defined resolution timelines.
