About the Role
Our consulting client is seeking an experienced Python API Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and enterprise-grade APIs. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python development, REST API design, microservices architecture, and application integration, along with experience supporting highly available production environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Python (Flask preferred).
- Build and support scalable microservices architectures.
- Develop and maintain Swagger/OpenAPI specifications for API documentation and contract validation.
- Design high-availability, scalable API solutions.
- Build services that aggregate, transform, and normalize data from multiple enterprise systems.
- Integrate applications with monitoring and observability platforms including Grafana and Prometheus.
- Troubleshoot backend applications and resolve runtime and production issues.
- Work closely with development, automation, platform, and SRE teams.
- Follow enterprise API management and integration best practices.
- Contribute to reliability improvements through monitoring, alerting, and operational excellence initiatives.
