Python Backend Developer - AI Automation

Workfall is a new-age premium talent tech platform, looking for a Python Backend Developer - AI/Automation to join our team. As a Python Backend Developer, you will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and supporting AI-enabled automation solutions. The role combines backend application development, workflow automation, and integration of AI/GenAI capabilities to improve business processes.

You will work closely with stakeholders to build scalable Python-based solutions, support AI-driven workflows, and contribute to continuous model improvement through feedback and monitoring mechanisms.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, and maintain Python-based applications and automation solutions.
• Build and support backend services, APIs, and workflow integrations.
• Develop and enhance AI-enabled business workflows and process automation solutions.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to understand requirements and implement solutions.
• Support AI model feedback loops, monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain existing automation applications.
• Ensure code quality, reliability, performance, and maintainability through best development practices.
• Participate in solution design, testing, deployment, and production support activities.
• Contribute to documentation, reusable components, and technical standards.

Required Skills &

Qualifications :

• Bachelors or masters degree in computer science, Engineering (BE / ME Computer Science, IT, MCA).
• 3 to 4 years of experience in software development, automation, or backend application development.
• Strong hands-on experience in production-grade Python application development.
• Experience with at least one Python rest framework : FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design, integrations, and workflow-based application development.
• Familiarity with LLMs, AI APIs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic), and prompt engineering techniques.
• Experience with databases : SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis).
• Proficiency in version control (Git), debugging, testing (unit/integration), and code review practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

Nice to Have :

• Exposure to GenAI or Agentic AI solutions (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, CrewAI).
• Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Basic understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Experience with Docker or containerized deployments.
