What You'll Do
- Design and implement Python-based automations to support Databricks platform operations and Next-Gen platform integration
- Automate provisioning, configuration, and governance of Databricks workspaces for new project onboarding
- Standardize workspace setup, access controls, and configurations to ensure repeatability, security, and compliance
- Build and enhance automations supporting MLOps and LLMOps workflows, including model training, experiment tracking, validation, registration, and promotion
- Implement deployment automation for ML models, LLM-based services, Databricks apps, and notebooks
- Enable reliable promotion of models and applications across Dev, Test, UAT, and Prod environments
- Work extensively with Databricks services such as Unity Catalog, MLflow, Mozaic AI, Model Serving, and Databricks Apps
- Enhance and maintain integrations between Databricks, AWS services, and enterprise platforms
- Build event-driven automations using AWS Lambda and API Gateway
- Develop secure APIs and backend services to orchestrate Databricks workflows and platform interactions
- Ensure all automations align with enterprise security, scalability, performance, and governance standards
- Collaborate with platform, data, and AI teams to continuously improve automation coverage and reliability
Expertise You'll Bring
- 8-12 years of hands-on experience in data platform automation, MLOps, or AI platform engineering
- Strong Python development skills with real-world automation experience
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS, including Lambda and API Gateway
- Proven experience working with the Databricks platform in enterprise environments
- Mandatory hands-on expertise with Unity Catalog, MLflow, Mozaic AI, Model Serving, and Databricks Apps
- Experience designing scalable, maintainable automation frameworks for data and AI platforms
- Proven ability to support MLOps and LLMOps workflows end-to-end
- Experience integrating Databricks with cloud and enterprise systems
- Familiarity with CI/CD integration for Databricks workloads (good to have)
- Exposure to large-scale enterprise data or AI platforms
- Understanding of security, compliance, and governance in regulated environments
- Strong problem-solving skills with a platform-engineering and automation-first mindset
- Ability to operate independently as a senior IC while providing technical leadership and guidance
