We are a proprietary quantitative trading firm working across Indian and global equity, derivatives and cryptocurrency markets. We are looking for a hands-on Python developer who can build and maintain reliable programs supporting our market-data, research and trading requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, debug and maintain robust Python applications and scripts.
• Integrate REST APIs and WebSocket feeds from brokers, exchanges and third-party data providers.
• Collect, clean, validate and process large datasets using Python, Pandas and NumPy.
• Work with PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, SQL, Parquet and CSV for data storage and retrieval.
• Build and maintain automated data collection, backfill and processing workflows.
• Handle API authentication, rate limits, retries, reconnections and data-recovery scenarios.
• Develop internal Python utilities and tools for research and operational requirements.
• Maintain scheduled and long-running Python processes on Linux.
• Troubleshoot bugs, improve performance and ensure data accuracy and system reliability.
• Work closely with our quantitative research team to convert requirements into maintainable Python solutions.

Required Skills:

• 1–5 years of professional Python development experience
• Strong Core Python, OOP, data structures and problem-solving skills
• Hands-on experience with Pandas and NumPy
• Experience integrating REST APIs / WebSockets / third-party APIs
• Good knowledge of SQL and databases
• Understanding of asynchronous programming, multiprocessing or threading
• Working knowledge of Linux and Git
• Strong debugging, testing and code-maintenance practices

Preferred:

Experience with financial-market data, broker/exchange APIs, ClickHouse, PostgreSQL, time-series datasets or quantitative/trading environments will be an advantage.

Important: This is primarily a Core Python / data-oriented development role, not a conventional web-development, BI/reporting or SQL-only position.
