Python Developer - Object Oriented Programming

Job Summary :

Terralogic is looking for a passionate Python developer to join our engineering team in Bangalore. The candidate will be responsible for building scalable backend systems, automation solutions, and supporting DevOps initiatives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

About the Role

We are looking for a Python backend developer with 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in building scalable backend applications and REST APIs. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Python development using modern backend frameworks and relational databases.

Note : This role is for backend Python development only. Candidates with primary experience in machine learning, data science, data engineering, or AI are not the right fit for this position.

Mandatory skills :

• Strong hands-on experience in Python development
• Good understanding of OOP concepts, data structures, and algorithms
• Experience building REST APIs and backend services
• Familiarity with frameworks such as Flask, Django, or FastAPI
• Basic knowledge of databases (SQL/NoSQL)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain robust Python-based applications
• Design and implement scalable APIs and backend services
• Write clean, efficient, and reusable code following best practices
• Automate processes using scripting and tools
• Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance application performance
• Participate in code reviews and agile ceremonies

Eligibility :

• Experience : 2 to 4 years in backend Python development.
• Notice Period : Immediate to 30 days preferred. Candidates serving notice are encouraged to apply.
• Candidates should be comfortable working from the Bangalore office.

Important Information :

• Candidates should be comfortable with an 18-month service agreement as part of the company's employment policy.
• Applicants with primary experience in machine learning, data science, AI, data engineering, or full-stack development without substantial backend Python experience may not be considered.

Value-Added Skills (Good to Have) :

• Exposure to DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, automation)
• Experience with Groovy scripting (e.g., Jenkins pipelines)
• Strong knowledge of Shell scripting (Bash)
• Familiarity with tools like Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
