About Us:
TruCost.Cloud is a fast-growing FinOps and cloud cost optimization consultancy helping businesses take control of their cloud spend. We're building a lean, high-impact engineering team and looking for a Full Stack Developer who can own features end-to-end.
Role Overview:
We're looking for a Full Stack Developer with strong hands-on experience in Python (FastAPI) on the backend and React with TypeScript on the frontend. You'll work closely with the founding team to design, build, and ship features for our cloud cost optimization platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop scalable REST APIs using FastAPI
- Build responsive, performant UI using React and TypeScript
- Design and optimize PostgreSQL database schemas and queries
- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code
- Collaborate on architecture decisions and code reviews
- Debug and resolve performance bottlenecks across the stack
- Work directly with founders/product in a fast-paced startup environment
Required Skills:
- 25 years of professional experience in full stack development
- Strong proficiency in Python and FastAPI
- Solid experience with React and TypeScript
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL (schema design, query optimization)
- Understanding of RESTful API design principles
- Familiarity with Git and version control workflows
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) is a plus
Good to Have:
- Experience with Docker/containerization
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines
- Understanding of FinOps/cloud cost concepts (not mandatory)
- Prior experience working in a startup environment
