Senior Development Engineer - Python/FastAPI/Django

Location - Bangalore

Work Mode - Hybrid 3 Days WFO 2 Days WFH

Key Responsibilities :

• Own and deliver mid-to-large scale backend features and services using Python, FastAPI, Django, and Apache Kafka.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, modular, and high-performance microservices architectures.
• Build and enhance RESTful APIs and backend systems integrated with PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, and other distributed data stores.
• Develop cloud-native applications deployed on AWS and/or GCP, utilizing Kubernetes and Helm for orchestration and deployment.
• Create and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, ensuring reliable and efficient software delivery.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and engineering teams to define technical solutions and deliver high-quality software.
• Drive best practices in software engineering, code quality, testing, observability, security, and performance optimization.
• Leverage AI-powered development tools and agents such as Codex, Claude, Gemini, or similar technologies to improve engineering productivity and accelerate delivery.

Required Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 5+ years of professional software development experience in an Agile environment.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Python, including frameworks such as FastAPI and Django.
• Experience building event-driven systems using Apache Kafka.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture, API design, and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and ElasticSearch.
• Experience deploying and operating applications on AWS and/or GCP.
• Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD practices.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted software development tools and modern engineering workflows.
