Senior Full Stack Developer

Role Summary :

Only 7 years apply. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Full Stack Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable, cloud-native applications across multiple technology stacks. The successful candidate will have strong experience developing modern web applications and distributed services using TypeScript, Node.js, Java/Kotlin, and Spring Boot, while working within an agile product delivery environment.

This role requires hands-on development expertise, strong software engineering practices, and the ability to collaborate closely with Product Owners, Architects, DevOps Engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, test, and deploy full-stack applications and microservices.
• Build responsive web applications and APIs using TypeScript and Node.js.
• Develop robust backend services using Java/Kotlin and Spring Boot.
• Integrate applications with cloud-native storage and services, including Amazon S3.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following engineering best practices.
• Participate in solution design, code reviews, technical workshops, and architectural discussions.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, security, and reliability.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments.
• Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of production issues.
• Contribute to technical standards, development frameworks, and reusable components.

Must-Have Qualifications :

A successful candidate will typically have 5 years of software engineering experience, with proven expertise in building scalable, cloud-native applications.

Backend Development :

• Strong commercial experience with :
• Java and/or Kotlin.
• Spring Boot.
• Building REST APIs and microservices architectures.
• Dependency injection and enterprise application design patterns.

Full Stack Development :

• Extensive experience with :
• TypeScript.
• Node.js.
• Modern front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• API integration and full-stack application development.

Database Technologies :

• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases such as :
• PostgreSQL.
• MySQL.
• MongoDB.
• DynamoDB.

Engineering Practices :

• Strong understanding of :
• Agile delivery methodologies.
• CI/CD pipelines.
• Automated testing.
• Git version control.
• Secure coding practices.
• Performance tuning and monitoring.

Nice-to-Have :

• Experience in the UK financial sector or financial sector in general.
• Knowing their strict compliance, risk, and security rules gives you a major edge.

Desirable Skills :

Cloud & Storage :

• Hands-on experience with :
• Amazon S3.
• Cloud-native application development.
• AWS services and infrastructure.
• Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Knowledge of Apache Kafka or event-streaming platforms.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
