Desired Competencies (Technical/ Behavioral Competency)

Must-Have**

(Ideally should not be more than 3-5)

• Strong experience in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture
• Hands-on expertise in Node.js and JavaScript for full-stack application development
• Good working knowledge of Python for backend services, automation, and data processing
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and scalable distributed systems
• Strong understanding of frontend technologies such as React.js, Angular, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or DynamoDB
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in Agile development environments

Good-to-Have

• Experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native architectures
• Exposure to event-driven systems using Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• Experience building AI/ML-enabled applications using Python frameworks
• Experience mentoring junior developers and leading technical initiatives

Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java, Node.js, JavaScript, and Python
• Build scalable microservices and REST APIs following industry best practices
• Develop responsive frontend applications and integrate them with backend services
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Optimize application performance, scalability, security, and reliability
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, QA teams, and stakeholders
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and knowledge sharing to team members
• Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes, tools, and development methodologies
