Senior Full Stack Developer - Java/React.js

Role Overview:

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Full Stack Developer to lead the modernization of mission-critical enterprise applications.

In this role, you will drive the transformation of legacy Java applications into scalable, cloud-native microservices using modern Java frameworks, React, AWS, and AI-powered engineering tools.

As a senior technical leader, you will define architecture, mentor engineering teams, establish best practices, and ensure the delivery of highly available, event-driven, and observable distributed systems.

You will also leverage AI-assisted development platforms to improve engineering productivity, code quality, and delivery speed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the modernization of large-scale legacy Java applications into Spring-based cloud-native microservices.
• Design scalable, resilient, and highly available distributed systems using AWS cloud services.
• Architect and develop modern frontend applications using ReactJS and TypeScript.
• Define enterprise architecture standards for APIs, microservices, event-driven systems, and cloud-native applications.
• Design and implement event-driven architectures using messaging and publish-subscribe patterns for real-time processing.
• Build high-performance, cache-driven solutions using distributed caching, read models, and materialized views.
• Ensure application scalability, resilience, fault tolerance, idempotency, retry mechanisms, and disaster recovery best practices.
• Drive performance engineering initiatives including latency optimization, memory tuning, CPU optimization, and capacity planning.
• Establish engineering excellence through robust unit testing, integration testing, automation, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement comprehensive observability using logging, distributed tracing, metrics, monitoring, and operational dashboards.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Enterprise Architects, DevOps, QA, and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver enterprise-grade solutions.
• Mentor and guide development teams through architectural reviews, code reviews, and technical decision-making.
• Evaluate and integrate AI-powered software development tools such as Devin, Blitzy, GitHub Copilot, or similar platforms to enhance engineering efficiency.
• Drive secure-by-design principles, governance, coding standards, and architectural best practices across the engineering organization.

Required Skills:

• 1012 years of hands-on software engineering experience with Java-based enterprise applications.
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, REST APIs, and Microservices Architecture.
• Extensive experience with ReactJS, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and modern frontend development.
• Strong experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-native application development.
• Proven experience modernizing legacy enterprise applications and migrating monolithic architectures to microservices.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems including concurrency, synchronization, scalability, consistency, fault tolerance, and high availability.
• Experience designing and implementing event-driven architectures using messaging and streaming platforms.
• Expertise in distributed caching technologies and high-performance application design.
• Strong understanding of performance tuning, profiling, monitoring, and optimization.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and automated testing strategies.
• Hands-on experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.
• Experience with observability tools including logging, monitoring, metrics, and distributed tracing.
• Knowledge of API security, authentication, authorization, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development platforms such as Devin, Blitzy, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar AI engineering tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience leading enterprise-scale digital transformation or cloud migration initiatives.
• Exposure to financial services, accounting platforms, or other high-volume transaction processing systems.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) is an advantage.
• AWS Certifications or Java-related certifications are preferred.
• Experience mentoring senior engineers and leading technical architecture discussions.
