Role Overview :

As a Senior Java Backend Developer, you will be responsible for architecting and maintaining high-throughput backend systems that serve as the backbone for our enterprise platforms. You will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams, product managers, and system architects to translate complex business requirements into clean, maintainable code. Your work will directly influence the scalability and reliability of our services, ensuring that our systems can handle increasing data loads while maintaining sub-second response times for end-users.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design and implement scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot to enhance the modularity and performance of our existing enterprise applications.
• Optimize complex database queries and data structures to ensure high-speed data retrieval and efficient storage management within SQL environments.
• Develop and maintain RESTful web services that facilitate seamless communication between disparate system components and third-party integrations.
• Integrate UniData/Pick Basic systems with modern Java-based architectures to bridge the gap between legacy data management and contemporary cloud services.
• Implement robust multithreading and concurrency patterns to maximize application throughput and minimize latency in high-demand scenarios.
• Manage event-driven data pipelines using Kafka to ensure reliable, real-time data processing across distributed environments.
• Orchestrate containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes to improve the consistency and speed of the software delivery lifecycle.
• Automate testing and deployment workflows through CI/CD pipelines to maintain high code quality and accelerate time-to-market for new features.

Required Skillset :

• Demonstrated expertise in Java, J2EE, and Spring Boot, with a deep understanding of object-oriented design principles and system architecture.
• Proven ability to design and deploy microservices-based architectures that are resilient, fault-tolerant, and highly available.
• Proficiency in managing and optimizing SQL databases and familiarity with Hibernate for efficient object-relational mapping.
• Strong grasp of data structures and algorithms, with the ability to apply them to solve complex performance bottlenecks in backend systems.
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, specifically AWS, and the ability to manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Capability to work with legacy data environments, including UniData/Pick Basic, and integrate them into modern, service-oriented ecosystems.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical design decisions to both technical peers and non-technical stakeholders.
• A collaborative mindset, comfortable working in a fast-paced, hybrid office environment in Bangalore, and capable of mentoring junior developers to foster a culture of technical excellence.
