About the Role :

RBM Software is looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer to join our growing engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, AWS cloud services, and event-driven architecture. You will be responsible for designing and developing scalable backend applications, building cloud-native solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and enhance robust RESTful APIs for internal and external system integrations.
• Develop, deploy, and manage cloud-native applications on AWS, leveraging services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and EventBridge.
• Implement and maintain event-driven architectures using AWS EventBridge (mandatory).
• Integrate messaging platforms such as Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ for asynchronous communication.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, including unit and integration tests.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues, optimize application performance, and implement reliable solutions.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills &

Qualifications :

• 5-8 years of experience in backend application development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Proven experience in designing and developing scalable backend systems and RESTful APIs.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services, including :
• EC2
• S3
• RDS
• Lambda
• EventBridge (Mandatory)
• Solid understanding of event-driven architecture, distributed systems, and microservices.
• Experience with Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with software development best practices, code reviews, and testing methodologies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is an added advantage.
