Senior Java & Python Developer (Contract)

Location: Central Pune (Onsite / Hybrid)

Duration: 2–3 Months (Extendable)

Start Date: Immediate / At the earliest

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Java & Python Developer with strong hands-on experience in business-layer development and modern AI-assisted development tools. The ideal candidate should be proficient in Java, Python, and have expert-level experience using Cursor and Claude Code to accelerate development and improve code quality.

This is a short-term, onsite assignment initially, with a hybrid work model thereafter.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain business-layer services using Java and Python
• Write clean, efficient, and scalable code following best practices
• Leverage Cursor and Claude Code at an expert level for development, refactoring, and debugging
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders and team members during onsite engagement
• Participate in code reviews and ensure high-quality deliverables
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance existing applications

Qualification & Experience

• B.E. / B.Tech in Computer Science or equivalent
• 7 years of hands-on experience in Java and Python programming
• 1–2 years of practical experience using Cursor and Claude Code
• Strong understanding of backend/business-layer architectures
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills
• Decent English communication skills (verbal and written)

Work Model

• Initial 4–6 weeks: Full-time onsite (Central Pune)
• Post initial period: Hybrid – 3 days per week from office
