Job Description :

Our client is hiring a Python Senior Backend Engineer to work on a weather forecasting and analytics platform used by global clients.

The main responsibility will be to build and maintain backend systems and APIs using Python.

You will work with technologies like Flask, REST APIs, Pytest, and Swagger/OpenAPI.

The role involves developing new API features, improving existing endpoints, and ensuring the system is scalable and high-performing.

You will collaborate with engineering teams in India and the US, so there will be some overlap with US working hours.

What the Candidate Will Work On :

• Work on a next-generation weather forecasting platform.
• The platform processes large volumes of weather and geospatial data.
• Build backend systems that help analyze and deliver weather insights to users.

Key Responsibilities :

• Build and maintain backend APIs that power the product.
• Improve existing APIs and develop new features and endpoints.
• Ensure the backend systems are fast, scalable, and reliable.
• Work closely with frontend developers, backend engineers, and product managers.
• Participate in technical discussions and architecture decisions.
• Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code.
• Help build data processing pipelines for geospatial/weather data.
