Senior Software Engineer - Java/Spring Boot

Job Description :

We're hiring for a Senior Software Engineer - Java Backend (Banking Domain) at Jocata in Hyderabad.

Build enterprise-grade banking and FinTech platforms that power lending, payments, compliance, and digital transformation initiatives for leading financial institutions.

What you'll do :

• Design and develop scalable backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
• Build secure, high-performance APIs and transaction processing systems.
• Develop and optimize database solutions using PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MySQL.
• Collaborate with product, architecture, and engineering teams to deliver enterprise banking solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code with strong unit test coverage.
• Participate in system design, code reviews, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.

We're looking for someone who :

• Has 5-8 years of experience in Java Backend development.
• Has strong expertise in Core Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Microservices.
• Has hands-on experience with Hibernate/JPA and REST APIs.
• Has solid SQL and database design skills.
• Has experience working in Linux environments.
• Has at least 3 years of Banking/BFSI domain experience.

Banking experience in areas such as :

• Core Banking.
• Lending Platforms.
• Payments & Transaction Processing.
• AML/KYC Solutions.
• Settlement & Reconciliation Systems.

Bonus points if you :

• Have experience with Docker, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Have exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Have worked with React or Angular-based applications.
