Senior Software Engineer - Python/Vue.js

Job Description :

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, and deliver full-stack applications using Python and Vue.js.
• Build scalable backend applications, services, and APIs using Python.
• Develop modern, responsive front-end applications using Vue.js.
• Take end-to-end ownership of features and workstreams - from requirements and architecture through development, deployment, and production support.
• Build and maintain integrations across APIs, databases, data pipelines, and enterprise systems.
• Support production systems and contribute to performance investigations, incident resolution, and root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and engineering teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Contribute to platform modernization and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, architecture decisions, testing, and documentation.
• Exposure to AI/LLM technologies is a plus and may be leveraged for future platform enhancements.

Required Skills & Experience :

• 8 - 14 years of software engineering experience, preferably in financial services, investment management, capital markets, or another enterprise environment.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Python and backend application development.
• Experience building Python-based APIs, microservices, data integrations, and production-grade applications.
• Hands-on experience with Vue.js for modern front-end development.
• Strong full-stack engineering fundamentals, including API design, databases, authentication, application architecture, testing, and deployment.
• Experience integrating applications across APIs, databases, data pipelines, and enterprise systems.
• Proven ability to work independently, drive projects autonomously, and take ownership of deliverables.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
• Experience working in Agile development environments with a track record of delivering high-quality production software.

Nice to Have :

• Exposure to Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, AI agents, or related technologies.
• Experience with Python AI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, CrewAI, or similar.
• Familiarity with vector databases and AI integration patterns.
• Exposure to financial markets, investment management, trading, or capital markets.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
• Experience with data warehouse technologies such as Snowflake.
• Familiarity with Java or JVM-based enterprise systems.
• Experience working in large-scale enterprise or multi-vendor environments.
