Role Overview :
We are looking for a motivated DevOps Engineer with hands-on experience in Linux environments to support our infrastructure, deployment, and automation needs. The ideal candidate will work closely with development and IT teams to ensure smooth, secure, and efficient operations of our systems.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage, monitor, and maintain Linux-based servers (Ubuntu/CentOS/RHEL) in production and staging environments
- Assist in deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting of applications and services
- Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitLab CI/GitHub Actions)
- Monitor system performance, uptime, and resource utilization; troubleshoot issues proactively
- Manage version control systems (Git) and support release management
- Write and maintain shell/Python scripts for automation of routine tasks
- Support containerization and orchestration efforts (Docker/Kubernetes) as required
- Assist with backup, patching, and basic security hardening of servers
- Maintain documentation for infrastructure, processes, and SOPs
- Collaborate with developers, QA, and IT teams to resolve deployment-related issues
- Support firewall, network, and cloud (Azure/AWS) related configurations as needed
Required Skills &
Experience :
- Working knowledge of Linux OS administration (user management, permissions, services, cron jobs, log management)
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, firewalls, ports)
- Familiarity with scripting (Bash/Shell, Python preferred)
- Exposure to version control tools (Git/GitHub/GitLab)
- Basic knowledge of CI/CD tools and concepts
- Awareness of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) is a plus
- Understanding of monitoring tools (Nagios/Zabbix/Grafana) is a plus
- Knowledge of containerization tools (Docker) is an advantage
- Good communication skills (written and verbal) - ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams
- Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team and willingness to learn new tools and technologies
