Software Development Engineer - Android Platform

We are looking for a talented Software Development Engineer 2 (Android) to join our mobile engineering team.

In this role, you will design, develop, and optimize high-performance Android applications using modern Android technologies and best practices.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver intuitive, scalable, and reliable mobile experiences while contributing to the overall engineering excellence of the organization.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin and modern Android development practices.
• Build responsive and intuitive user interfaces using Jetpack Compose, following Material Design principles and Android UI guidelines.
• Develop scalable and maintainable applications using architectural patterns such as MVVM, MVI, MVP, and Clean Architecture.
• Integrate and consume RESTful APIs, GraphQL, JSON services, Retrofit, and third-party libraries.
• Implement efficient data persistence using SQLite and Shared Preferences.
• Optimize application performance through effective concurrency management using Coroutines, asynchronous programming, and threading best practices.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, and application stability issues.
• Write comprehensive unit and UI tests using JUnit and Espresso, with familiarity in Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and Backend Engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering standards, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, supporting automated builds, testing, and deployment processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

• 3 to 6 years of experience in native Android application development.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin, including advanced language features and best practices.
• Hands-on experience with the Android SDK and Jetpack libraries including Compose, Room, Hilt/Dagger, and Coroutines.
