Job description

Role Overview :

As an SDE-1 based in our Delhi office, you will be at the heart of our engineering efforts, building scalable backend systems that power high-traffic applications. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional product managers, designers, and senior architects to translate complex business requirements into robust, high-performance code. By designing and maintaining microservices that handle millions of requests, you will directly influence the reliability and speed of our platform, ensuring a seamless experience for our growing user base.

This role offers a unique opportunity to own features from inception to deployment within a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Architect and develop scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot to ensure high availability and low latency for our end users.
  • Design efficient data pipelines and event-driven systems using Kafka to facilitate real-time data processing across our distributed infrastructure.
  • Deploy and manage cloud-native applications on AWS, optimizing resource utilization to improve cost-efficiency and system performance.
  • Participate in rigorous code reviews and HLD discussions to maintain high engineering standards and foster a culture of technical excellence within the team.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, minimizing downtime and enhancing the overall stability of our core product ecosystem.

Required Skillset :

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Java and the Spring Boot framework, with a deep understanding of building and maintaining production-grade microservices.
  • Strong grasp of Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) to write optimized, clean, and maintainable code that scales under heavy load.
  • Proven ability to design High-Level Designs (HLD) for distributed systems, considering trade-offs in latency, consistency, and availability.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services and event-streaming platforms like Kafka, enabling the creation of resilient and decoupled system architectures.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and work effectively in a collaborative, hybrid-work environment.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, complemented by 3 to 5 years of professional experience in backend development.
