Software Engineer - Java/Scala Development

Job Overview :

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer / Scala Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable software applications and microservices.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in Java and Scala, along with experience in microservices, Vertica Database, Spark, and ETL processes.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Java and Scala.
• Develop and enhance microservices-based applications following industry best practices.
• Work with Vertica Database for data storage, querying, and application integration.
• Leverage Akka and related technologies for building scalable and distributed applications.
• Work with Apache Spark and ETL processes for data processing and transformation.
• Analyze and troubleshoot customer issues, including production incidents and application defects.
• Perform root-cause analysis and implement effective fixes to improve application stability and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and production support activities.
• Communicate effectively with technical teams, stakeholders, and customers.

Required Skills &

Experience :

• 5 years of software development experience.
• Strong hands-on programming experience in Java and Scala.
• Proven experience developing microservices-based applications.
• Hands-on experience with Vertica Database.
• Basic knowledge of Akka and Move Services.
• Basic experience with Apache Spark and ETL processes.
• Experience in production support, troubleshooting, and customer issue analysis.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
