Role Overview:

As a Software Engineer, you will be at the heart of our fintech engineering team, designing and building scalable backend systems that power our global platforms. You will work closely with cross-functional product managers, architects, and frontend engineers to translate complex business requirements into high-performance, resilient software solutions. Your daily contributions will directly influence the end-user experience, ensuring that our services remain robust, secure, and lightning-fast as we scale to meet the demands of a growing international user base.

This role offers the flexibility to contribute from anywhere in India or our international hubs, fostering a culture of ownership and high-impact technical delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and implement scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot to ensure seamless service communication and high availability for our global clients.
  • Optimize system performance by conducting rigorous performance testing and fine-tuning JVM configurations to handle high-concurrency traffic efficiently.
  • Design and maintain complex database schemas in PostgreSQL, ensuring data integrity and query efficiency to support data-driven decision-making across the organization.
  • Implement caching strategies using Redis to reduce latency and improve the overall responsiveness of user-facing applications.
  • Collaborate with engineering leads to refactor legacy codebases, applying OOPS principles and Spring AOP to enhance maintainability and modularity across the product suite.

Required Skillset:

  • Demonstrated expertise in developing enterprise-grade applications using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot, with a deep understanding of Microservices Architecture.
  • Proven ability to write complex SQL queries and manage relational databases like PostgreSQL, paired with a strong grasp of caching mechanisms such as Redis.
  • Solid understanding of JVM internals and performance tuning, enabling you to identify and resolve bottlenecks in high-scale production environments.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to articulate technical challenges to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment on project goals and timelines.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to thrive in a distributed, remote-first environment, maintaining high productivity and collaboration across different time zones.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, reflecting a strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns.
