Solution Architect - Rust/Distributed Systems

Role Overview :

We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect - Rust with strong expertise in software architecture, Rust-based application development, microservices, APIs, and distributed systems.

The role will focus on defining application architecture and guiding engineering teams in developing scalable and high-performance solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design end-to-end software solutions using Rust, microservices, APIs, and distributed system architectures.
• Translate business requirements and non-functional requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Define application architecture, service boundaries, API contracts, integration patterns, and data flows.
• Guide engineering teams in developing production-grade Rust applications and services.
• Provide technical guidance on Rust architecture, asynchronous programming, concurrency, and application performance.
• Drive architecture decisions related to scalability, reliability, performance, security, and maintainability.
• Lead technical design discussions, architecture workshops, design reviews, and architecture governance.
• Review existing application architectures and recommend improvements where required.
• Identify technical risks, dependencies, bottlenecks, and architectural trade-offs.
• Ensure effective integration between backend services, APIs, databases, and external systems.
• Work closely with Engineering, QA, Cloud, Security, Product, and Operations teams.
• Provide technical leadership during system integration, production readiness, and complex technical issues.
• Document architecture decisions, technical standards, dependencies, risks, and operational requirements.

Required Skills :

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering or architecture.
• 5+ years of experience in Solution Architecture / Software Architecture.
• Strong production experience with Rust.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, microservices, APIs, and distributed systems.
• Strong knowledge of asynchronous programming, concurrency, performance optimization, and scalable application design.
• Experience designing cloud-hosted applications, preferably on AWS.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience providing technical leadership to engineering teams.

• Experience with AWS services and cloud-native application development.
• Experience with REST APIs and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with observability and distributed tracing.
• Experience working with distributed or onsite/offshore engineering teams.
