Sr Java Developer

Overview:

The Senior Java Developer plays a crucial role in our organization, responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of Java applications. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth functioning of our software systems and contributing to the overall technological advancement of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems
• Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle
• Write well-designed, efficient, and testable code
• Ensure designs are in compliance with specifications
• Prepare and produce releases of software components
• Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review
• Participate in code and design reviews
• Identify, prioritize, and execute tasks in the software development lifecycle
• Contribute to the development of quality assurance procedures
• Document and maintain software functionality
• Interact with internal teams to enhance the system, resolve issues, and provide technical support
• Stay up to date with the latest technologies and best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems
• Perform thorough testing and validation to ensure the robustness and scalability of production systems

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Java development
• Proficiency in Java, with a good understanding of its ecosystems
• Experience with the Spring Framework
• Strong database skills with experience in SQL and ORM technologies
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming
• Experience working in an Agile development environment
• Ability to solve complex problems and effectively communicate solutions
• Experience with test-driven development
• Knowledge of code versioning tools such as Git
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions
• Ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
• Experience with cloud technologies is a plus
