Sr. Software Engineer - Java/J2EE, Microservices, Springboot & Cloud

Scope:

• Drive designs discussion and come up with robust and more efficient designs to achieve features in product roadmap
• Take complete responsibility of the features developed right from coding till deployments
• Be a leader, take responsibility of code quality and drive test driven development thought process in the team
• Collaborate and work along with experts in the team to understand the current architecture and propose opportunities for improvement
• Introduce new technology and tools for the betterment of the product
• Mentor new and junior associates in our team by sharing knowledge through training sessions
• Guide fellow engineers to look beyond the surface and fix the root causes rather than symptoms
• Evolve the hiring culture in the team, identify skill gaps, and actively shape job openings to ensure foreseeable requirements can be met in the future

Our Technical Environment:

• Software: Java, GIT, Rest API, Oracle, Tomcat, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSP
• Application Architecture: Scalable, Resilient, Multi-layered (Client-Server) architecture
• Cloud Architecture: Blue Yonder Private cloud and AZ
• Frameworks/Others: RDBMS, Jenkins, App Dynamics, Splunk

What you'll do:

• Strong Technical Expertise on System Design
• Customer maintenance on existing product by providing timely quality fixes
• Drive/Lead the development, perform code reviews
• Learn and adapt to applicable technologies, products, and tools
• Demonstrate a good understanding of relevant domain and solutions
• Demonstrate a good understanding of the product
• Develop in-depth knowledge in certain components of the product
• Understand and analyze business requirements and designs provided
• Assist with technical design
• Develop and execute Unit Tests
• Follow standard processes and procedures
• Identify and resolve software bugs
• Test and integrate with other development tasks
• Demonstrate problem-solving and innovation ability
• Proactively pick up development and maintenance tasks
• Plan and prioritize work
• Proactively report all activities to the reporting managers
• Proactively seek or help as required

What we are looking for:

• 5 to 7 years of experience in Software development with a bachelor's degree
• Strong programming experience in Java/J2EE, Microservices & Springboot
• Demonstrable experience building, deploying and maintenance of enterprise applications
• Demonstrable experience with Web technology
• Warehouse Management experience
• Applet technical knowledge and hands-on experience
• Good with SQL/Stored Procedures
• Product Maintenance experience - Work with Support/Customers/Stakeholders and ensure quick turnaround to customer and internal issues
• Proficient in Java/J2EE, Applet, SQL
• Strong in RDBMS concepts, SQL
• Application Architecture: Web technology and website/portal development, Database Concepts: Relational Concepts, SQL
• Frameworks/Others: RDBMS, Spring-boot, GIT, Jenkins, Checkmarx, Appscan, Sonarcube
