Job description

Title :: Support Engineer

Exp:: 3-5+ years

Skills:: AS400 with COBOL

Core / Must Have:

  • Troubleshooting skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve basic application issues.
  • Communication skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with users and document incidents clearly.
  • Technical proficiency: Ability to work with an AS400 operating system, Cobol, DB2 Querying, CL (Command Line).
  • Aptitude to learn: Quick learners able to pick up WINS, Nightly jobs and associated Policy Data processing.

Primary / Should Have:

  • Problem solving skills: Ability to be able to spot trends
  • Basic DB2 SQL and Data analysis skills
  • Experience with application performance monitoring tools e.g. Dynatrace/IBM application monitoring tools

Secondary / Could Have:

  • Application expertise: Some experience with supporting Legacy AS400 apps or experience in insurance domain.
